Episode Notes

Recently, I had the surreal experience of watching my friend Carson Wentz run out of the tunnel as the starting quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings — the very team he grew up cheering for as a kid in North Dakota. It was a full-circle moment that sparked something in me about dreams, detours, and God’s greater purpose.

In this episode, I share that story, reflect on Proverbs 19:21, and Megan and I invite you to consider the dreams or plans in your life that haven’t turned out the way you hoped. What if God is still at work, just in a different way than you imagined?

Here are four practical handles when your plans don’t line up:

  1. Name the grief, don’t just bury it
  2. Look for God’s faithfulness in the detours
  3. Hold your plans with open hands
  4. Take the next faithful step

Plans change. God’s purpose always prevails.
